Bondi 8'3 & 9'5Updated 25 days ago

The Bondi has been designed to perform as close as possible to a fiberglass board. To achieve this there are some unique features that require care and attention.

Please read the unpacking and packing instructions carefully

Unpacking & Inflating your board

1. Unpack your board from its back and unroll onto a flat surface. Sand or grass is best.

2. Check that the valve is in the upper position (closed). To check; push down on the valve and turn left or right. The valve can lock down or up. (valve pin down is open; valve pin up is closed)

3. Connect the pump hose by pushing down and twisting clockwise. It should lock into place. Note: this opens the valve automatically and should be able to pump air into the board.4. Pump until you reach the desired pressure. The recommended pressure range is 15-20PSI. We recommend aiming for 18PSI as the optimal pressure.

5. To release the pump hose, push down and turn the hose anti-clockwise. Note a small amount of air will release, but the valve should quickly close and lock the air automatically.

6. Place back the dust-cap cover on the valve.

Fitting/Setup the fins

The fin system utilises a standard US box for the centre and a Futures- compatible propritary side fin system. key points to consider:

  1. If using the centre fin. Install that one first.
  2. Side fins are installed with the curved side of the fin facing Out and the flat side facing in. The logo is on the curved side and should face out.
  3. Do NOT over-tighten the side fin grub screws. Please tighten these securely, but only to the point where the fin cannot move. Think “snug” not tight.

Packing the board away

You will notice that the valve is somewhat in the middle of the board. This unusual for an iSUP. We have done this to reduce the swing weight from the nose as much as possible. To pack the board away, do the following.

  1. Open the valve and lock open. letting as much air out as possible by standing on the board and flattening as much as possible.
  2. Connect your pump on the ‘Deflate side’ and extract all the air out of the board.
  3. Once all the air is out, remove the pump and quickly close the valve, minimizing how much air the board sucks back in.
  4. Roll the board from the nose to the tail so that the tail rail edge is not rolled up to tightly. Packing the board away in this manner will extend the life of the board and keep you surfing for years.

Board Care

Do not leave in direct sunlight
Damage resulting from heat is not covered by the manufactures warranty!! Never leave your paddleboard exposed to direct sunlight, when out of the water. Always keep in the shade when not in the water. If you must expose your board to direct sunlight when not in use depressurize the board to less than 10 PSI.

Recommended Pressures
Follow the recommended pressures for each board. Do not overinflate under any circumstance. Minimum pressures are suitable for most board use with the maximum pressures set to achieve the most performance. DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE.

Tips for transporting
This inflatable board is designed to be compact for convenient storage & travel. Due to a lack of weight when inflated, they should not be transported on the roof of a vehicle.

Board Maintenance
Sun, sand, and saltwater will degrade any man-made material over time. Rinse OFF sand and saltwater deposits from your paddleboard with freshwater and store them in a cool, dry environment after each use.
